Apparently the Parts Manager was ordering high-dollar radio units from her OEM and then selling the radios via her personal Ebay account and retaining the funds. To help eliminate suspicion, the Parts Manager was assigning a different part numbers and part descriptions to the orders for the radios she was stealing.
From the perspective of a Dealer or General Manager this type of embezzlement would be pretty hard to detect until there was a physical audit of the parts inventory. About the only easy to identify signal would have been the increase in inventory dollars which the Parts Manager could have concealed by decreasing the depth of her inventory.
From the perspective of the Parts Manager, this is far from the perfect crime. What was this person thinking - it's only a matter of time before she was going to get caught.
