buy/sell parts return question
what is the option 2 (terminated plan) used for? We just bought a Chevy Dealership and I was told we could do a 1 time buy/sell for as many parts as I want to send back....is this true?? Any direction would be helpful...

GM will allow you to send back a percentage of the previous years purchases. Send back EVERYTHING you can, even RIM parts. You won't get a better chance to clean up. Contact your APM to get the details.

Back in the old days I know Chrysler used to allow the new dealer to send back any part that "was "still in the book" on a buy/sell - it was a great chance for the new dealer to clean up a bad inventory situation. The expression "still in the book" was meant to be any part that could still be ordered by a dealer and fulfilled by the depot. It's interesting to see that GM limits how much can be sent back on a buy/sell return based on prior year purchases - it certainly makes sense from GM's perspective. |
