Default 2008 Challeger SRT8 For Sale - U.S. Marshall Drug Seizure

I was surfing through some Internet Auction sites and found a 2008 Dodge Challeger SRT8 that will be sold this Saturday. The vehicle is being sold as a Drug Seizure vehicle from the DEA/U.S. Marshall.

Here's a picture:

The vehicle has about 41K miles and appears to be damage free.

Any guesses concerning how much the car will sell for? Maybe we I should offer a $25 Gift Card to the person who comes the closest?

If you want to see the listing, go to the Proxibid website and put "srt" in the search box. (You can also try this link to do directly to the vehicle but it may not work after a day or two - click here)

I'll guess $20K. Maybe a little bit of a premium with the whole drug dealer fame.

That would be a hell of a deal.

I'm guessing the price will be closer to $25K plus fees. The buyer fees are 10% so that would put the total price at $27,500.

I never thought about the drug dealer fame as being a positive factor, but I guess it would be a great conversation piece.

Just purchased a black 2009 Challenger SRT8 Auto off of a customer who wanted to sell it. I paid him $32,500. My guess for the 2008 pictured with the miles at $23,000 before fees

I was wondering about that too. In fact, I had to double check to see if the VIN supported a 2008 model year - I initially assumed it was a 2009 based on the color.

That said, are the black 2008s commanding a premium because they're rare or are they still be treated as another used car?

Who knows, your bias against Chrysler vehicles may just score you a $25 Starbucks Card. So far you've got the low ball bid covered.....

It's official, the person with the closest prediction of the "Hammer Price" will win a $25 Gift Card.

If you're reading this post and you're a member of the forum please make a prediction - what do you have to lose?

If you want to change your prediction just add a new post to this thread - your last post will be the prediction used for the contest.

$30500 w/ fees. Just in case the public gets stupid at this one. We see them come to GSA sales here and pay over retail for vehicles- just so they don't get screwed by a dealer.
