Default Did the 2011 Dodge Durango just show up on VOIM?

I'm hearing that Chrysler's VOIM (Vehicle Ordering and Inventory Management) system has opened up for the 2011 Dodge Durango.

Has anyone else seen this?

Hopefully the great Magnum -vs- Durango name debate has been resolved and the dealers can begin to study the option packages for the 2011 Dodge Durango.

2011 Dodge (Truck) Durango is out there as an option, but with no models to choose from. Looks like they've at least started the programming to make it an option, and "Durango" will be the name used.

Been in there a few weeks now. Fleet Pre-Sell code guides are in there for most everything… 2011 Durango, Charger, Compass. 300, etc.. There’s package and content info. along with pricing… but since they’re tagged “fleet” who knows how accurate that stuff will be when the products actually start coming around. ?

Durango code guide show 3 different model levels. The Chrysler rep. that referenced the "residual/Durango name plate" story to me said the top of the line Durango will have a leather seat option straight out the Ferrari plant. :shades:

Thanks for the update - I got the impression it had just appeared there today.

On a side note, can anyone explain why it's in Chrysler/Marchionne's best interest to keep the name of the Durango such a secret?

That's funny - what flavor Kool-Aid is Auburn Hills serving this month?

On a serious note, it's good to hear that some of Chrysler's employees are that enthusiastic about the future.

I for one do not like all the new names for the trim levels. What was wrong with the old designations? ST, SXT, SLT, Limited? It seemed to work fine? Same way on all the other models.

Some one needs to justify their job.

Thanks for the confirmation - I'm happy to hear the Durango name is locked in.

Default Link to the '11 Durango "teaser" site

Here's the link to Chrysler's "teaser" site for the '11 Durango - click here

The site takes a minute or two to load and then shows a few partial images of the '11 Durango.

According to news reports it appears Chrysler will unveil the '11 Durango at the 2010 Los Angeles Auto Show.

I see it will be badged as a Dodge and not as a Ram.

Do you think it might confuse people who are looking at the Journey ?

Is it a Dodge car, or Ram truck?

Badging shows AWD, not 4-wheel drive. That is usually indicating a car vs truck.

That's a good question. It will be interesting to see how the Durango stacks up against the Journey in terms of pricing and fuel mileage.

I always felt the Journey was a decent vehicle that was held back my a meager powertrain. It will be interesting to see how the Journey performs once it's upgraded with the Pentastar V6.

Concerning the Durango, I'm not surprised to see it branded as a Dodge and I still think the whole idea of Ram as a separate brand has been a waste of resources.
