Default Chrysler - After the merger.....

BusinessWeek ran an interesting story speculating what Chrysler might look like after the merger with GM is complete.

Here's a link to the news report: http://www.businessweek.com/the_thre...unting_br.html

Essentially their prediction is that Chrysler speeds-up the "Project Genesis" program so that the majority of their dealerships have all three brands under one roof. Then they kill-off the Chrysler brand.

In an effort to generate cash, GM sells the Dodge Ram to Nissan.

The Dodge dealers would still have the 2009 Ram Truck - they would just be buying it from Nissan.

It's all just speculation, but it makes some sense - especially the part about GM selling off the Dodge Ram production facilities.

It will be interesting to see what happens.
