Mid-month sales update - September

It's hard to believe that it's already the 20th of September and there's only one weekend left before this month is over.

How's business been for your store so far this month?

Not too bad....right about where we need to be. Seems to be a ton of traffic on the New Cherokee...not all of them buying. Most folks seem to want to buy an Overland of which we have zero..or a Limited...of which we have zero.

We have tons of Laredos.....selling a few of them, it's been fun.

Personally...I'm in perfect position again, poised to have another good month. All in all, business is good.

Flat... no sales, very little traffic.

KIA & Used up, CJD down.
Not a great Sept & need strong finish for an OK month
Good gross, 3300 a copy w/1200 F&I PVR.
Parts & SVC up.

Thanks for the update - very interesting.

What you're seeing at your dealership matches what we've heard across the country - Chrysler missed the mark on the Grand Cherokee product mix. The irony is Chrysler historically launched new vehicles with a mix that was too expensive - the Chrysler Pacifica is a perfect example.

Concerning the '11 Grand Cherokee, is your store doing many lease deals?

Congratulations on KIA's continued strength and your strong gross.

I think a lot of the OEMs are following the same strategy - selling fewer cars but holding higher margins.

Not any leases as of yet..however...with the new $399 lease being advertised I expect we will start...if of course they approve some people.
