Default Dpf filters

are the dpf filters considered light duty on core return...they have to be cut and taped up like the regular converters I assume?

I'm not 100% but I would treat it the same as a cat. convertor.

InBloom94, how did you end up returning that diesel particulate filter core?
I hate to chop it up but it's it large.

Default core

I had to do it the same as a cat conv, cut it off and taped off the ends.

from what I understand GM will accept up to 5' of pipe. I think this is in the p&p manual also.

I've heard of GM giving pipe, this is the first time I've heard of them accepting pipe

this is the closest I could find about it in the P&P manual

 Catalytic converters in excess of 3 feet must have the pipes cut off and the inlet and outlet openings sealed with duct tape.
 Exhausts assigned to the XCO2 core group means this exhaust contains two converters. Both converter cores are to be returned together as a single unit return. Multiple cores should be taped together and one core ID label to be affixed to the bundled unit.
 Exhausts assigned to XC04 means this exhaust contains four or quad converters. Dealers are required to tape the dual or quad converters together with one return label for all units. These converters should not be returned or applied for individually. Dealers who participate in such activity will be held accountable and the cores will be scrapped at Hollingsworth Core Logistics. Dealers will not receive core credit for each converter returned when the part number is considered dual or quad. Hollingsworth Core Logistics has been trained to look for converters assigned to these core groups. In addition, GM performs random audits on these returns.
