Default Why it's OK to say "No" to your kids....

I saw this thread on another Forum that I read.

It's a link to a set of accident pictures involving a Dodge SRT-4 that resulted in the death of two 17 year old boys. (There are no gruesome pictures - just pictures of a mangled car.)

Here's the link: http://tmc-news.smugmug.com/gallery/...00848382_soy2q

While 100% of the population of 17 year olds would likely want a SRT-4 as their first car, probably less than 1% of them are mature enough to handle one.

When it comes to kids, sometimes the hardest answer is the best answer.

They also must be deranged if they thought a SRT-4 was a "dream" car for them.

The SRT-4 really does have its own following - it's amazing how loyal some of the owners are to that car.

I've also read that it has one of the highest insurance rates in the industry. I guess the combination of an inexpensive car that will easily do 140 MPH driven by young inexperienced drivers can lead to some predicable results.

Are we talking Dodge Neon SRT-4 action or Dodge Caliber SRT-4 action? Why am I asking this question? They are both horrible.

In the SRT Community there's a huge bias for the Neon based SRT-4 - most of them hate the Caliber based SRT-4.

I'm not sure what that says about the Caliber owners, but it can't be a good thing when a group of Neon drivers look at you as an outcast.
