Concerning the Dow, the reports I read suggest the drop was caused by concerns that problems in Europe will spill-over to the U.S. and reverse the recovery.

Additionally, the fact that unemployment applications rose unexpectedly and Hilary Clinton is our best hope for avoiding war between North and South Korea probably didn't help either.
