Former Dealership Manager arrested for theft
A former dealership General Sales Manager was arrested and charged with second degree theft. The manager was charged with stealing over $365K in cash from the dealership.
An investigation revealed that cash payments for many vehicles were missing. In some cases a personal check from another customer was used to make an initial deposit on a vehicle. The dealership became aware of the problem when a customer complained that they had not received a title for their vehicle. I'm guessing they didn't review their receivables on a regular basis?

If it hadn't of been for a customer complaining about a missing title the fraud may have continued for months. |
