Default Tri-Vin OLRS

Do we have any members using this system?

The reason I ask is during a facility move over the Thanksgiving holiday, our scanner light broke. And Tri-Vin which is sister company DealerTrack, is trying to tell me that a new approved scanner a Docu mate which at Staples is $700.00 bucks.

Hearing in the GrapeVine that Ohio is getting close to launching the next generation of ATPS (In State Title System) which would eliminate Tri-Vin for any Ohio dealer, since a dealer would be able to upload without third party.

The scanner which need replaced is an Strobe XP 220, which today is discontiued by Visioneer and new was only $290.00.

Any other dealers that use tri-vin have an different opition besides Ebay for a replacement Strobe XP?

I'm reading this thread for the first time and unfortunately don't have any suggestions. I had never even heard of TriVin before I read this thread and I didn't know that DealerTrack had acquired the company.

It's interesting to read that TriVin will no longer be needed when Ohio adopts an In State Title System. Makes me wonder why DealerTrack would want to buy TriVin when most states are moving away from paper titles?

Concerning a replacement scanner - here's a link with some Google Shopping Search results - click here
