Allstate's getting in the Service Contract Business
I was reading a recent issue of Automotive News and I noticed Allstate was running two full-page ads indicating they're expanding their Service Contract and GAP program for dealers.
It appears Allstate has taken over another company and has brought their agents onto their team to promote their products with an Allstate brand. Does anyone know anything about Allstate's program? I wonder if it's a Dealer Reinsurance program or something more similar to what's offered by the OEMs? Allstate does have strong brand awareness which would make it easier to sell their products in F&I but I wonder if a dealer has any assurance they won't be undercut by Allstate offering to sell their product directly to the end users? .
