Default Is the world ready for a Four Door Porsche Sports Car?

I'll admit I don't follow Porsche that closely, but when I read they were serious about launching a four door sports car, I had to learn more.

The Porsche Panamera is scheduled to be released as a 2010 model.

Is there a market for this car, or will it damage the Porsche brand image?

That's what I like about you, you've got an open mind to new ideas.

Although I really like the styling from the rear of the car, as soon as I see the front I think of Porsche and I can't get past the fact it's a four door.

It will be interesting to see how the market reacts.

Interesting concept..... how many cup holders has it got?

Automotive history is full of "great" ideas that never got mainstreamed. Look at the Tucker; full of innovation but never got off the ground. Then look at the Edsel; should have been buried in the ground.

If any of you have had the misfortune of driving the Cayenne, you'll understand why Porsche should keep doing what they've always done best and produce a really good sports car. Pandering to the mommymobile buyers in the upper income bracket with a 4 door is not a good idea.

What next........a Corvette Mini-van?
