Corpus Christi Chevrolet Dealer Closes

I was surprised to read that a Corpus Christi Chevrolet Dealer has closed his dealership citing a poor economy and a weak housing market.

Here's a link to the news report: http://www.kristv.com/Global/story.a...60144&nav=Bsmh

I was under the impression that the entire state of Texas was doing great based on the record high oil prices.

If dealers in Texas start to close, what does that say for the rest of the U.S.?

We've got a Dodge dealer down in Corpus who is doing well. Autonation also has a bunch of dealerships down there under the Champion brand. Looks like this dealership in on the outskirts of Corpus, which may explain why they weren't getting enough business to keep the doors open.

SHACOS - Thanks for the input - I thought that the Texas market was still doing well and I'm pleased to hear that's still the case. :)

Texas always makes money for Lithia. :)
