Audi to buy Ducati

http://www.carmagazine.co.uk/News/Se...m-four-wheels/

Why would a car company want to buy a motorcycle company?

What are your thoughts?

Technology and possibly design. Also name prestige/recognition. I love my new Audi. :) Wouldn't mind having a Ducati to go along with it.

X-2! If/when I stumble across that extra cash to buy a non-water related toy... it'll be a Ducati! Thinking this one in particluar...

ducati's had multiple owners in the last decade. iconic brand, but very expensive. ducati and bmw really know how to sell high dollar preventive maintenance, average first time buyers just gotta have one. like hd without the fringe. its all about image,, great bikes , but really expensive long term. would have been a better fit for fiat???
