View Full Version : Fantastic Write-up on the 2009 Dodge Ram
As many have probably read, Chrysler LLC used a herd of cattle to usher in the 2009 Dodge Ram to Cobo Hall.
Pictures of the 2009 Ram have been widely available on the Internet for the past couple of weeks. (Ironically, it was the Mopar Parts website that was the source for the leaked exterior photo.)
Although the exterior photo looked good, I imagine that many Dodge Dealers have been worried about the interior - a HUGE sore spot with Chrysler's most recent new vehicles.
Listed here is a link with an excellent write-up that includes many interior pictures: http://www.allpar.com/model/ram/2009-ram.html
I love the fact that there was also a veiled reference to a "V Configuration" Diesel that may be in the works for the 1500 Series Pickups.
I'd love to hear some comments on the 2009 - Do you love it or hate it?
If you click the link above to check-out the new 2009 Ram, be sure to scan all the way to the bottom and read the "Rumor Mill."
It's a recap of some early predictions and how close they were to being correct. I thought it was interesting how some were 100% correct while others missed the mark by a wide margin. It makes you wonder if there are some "insiders" that leak information when they are so accurate with their predictions?

Nice looking truck. That should get some more buyers from the 18 - 24 age market.

I agree, I really like the truck and I think it looks great.
I have not been a fan of most of Chrysler's recent releases so it's nice to see a product I can feel positive about.
It will be interesting to see how the truck does in the market. There's a lot of competition and I imagine that some customers are going to miss those $5,000 to $8,000 Rebates that the current Ram has had.
As always, it will be interesting. :)

I am a big fan of the Dodge Ram, and the 2009 fixes everthing I thought they could improve on the current model. It IS a bit aged in its' design now. But with time comes change, and I look forward to the new model.
If the price for the new 2009 Dodge Ram is not equally competitive with Chevy, the new 2009 F-150(equally sharp but not as improved), and those damned Toyotas and Nissans, then it don't make any difference. The rebates then WILL come.

I agree, I think Chrysler has done a great job with the 2009 Ram and they've made a HUGE improvement to the interior.
That said, there are times when those HUGE Factory Rebates help to get a customer unburied out of their trade. Given the softening economy, it will be interesting to see how Chrysler handles Incentives on the 2009 Ram.
