Sadly, 2009 is starting off exactly as 2008 ended, with another closing of a California Chrysler dealership. :(
In this case, it's Hemet Chrysler/Jeep/Dodge that announced that they were closing down on Friday - 01/09/09. News reports indicated that the dealership's employees didn't have any advance notice of the closure - they simply arrived to find the dealership locked up.

The dealership fits the pattern of stores that struggle in a newer facility with a high rent factor.
The Dealer Principal of Hemet Chrysler owns other Chrysler Dealerships in the area, it's unknown if they will be impacted.
