I created a thread earlier this week asking about sales of the Dodge Challenger. Based on what I've noticed on Ebay it seemed like demand was cooling off.

I checked Automotive News to see what the most recent Days Supply figures were and decided the topic warranted its own thread.

Although I don't know how accurate the Automotive News figures are, the report showed a 53 day supply for the Dodge Challenger. That seemed reasonable.

The vehicles that surprised me are listed below:

238 Days Supply - Jeep Compass
199 Days Supply - Jeep Patriot
198 Days Supply - Dodge Caliber
198 Days Supply - Dodge Journey
141 Days Supply - Jeep Wrangler (With over 34,000 units on the ground)Are Chrysler's entry-level vehicles really that cold or is it a reporting error?

According to Automotive News the Nitro has a 130 Day supply with 9,400 units on the ground.

Based on the low number of units on the ground I'd guess that most Dodge Dealers cut back their inventories based on the poor early sales trends. I think the Nitro was pretty much stone cold from the day it was launched. :(

As a triva note, even though the Jeep Liberty and the Dodge Nitro are built in the same plant, they are not clone vehicles. I've read that the 4.0 liter V-6 in the Nitro cannot be installed in the Liberty because the engine bays are different sized. (Just another example of waste in the post-Lutz era.)
