Chrysler to shut down California Design Studio

In another example of cost cutting, Chrysler, LLC announced on Friday that it will close its California Design Studio.

The Pacifica Design Studio was first opened in the late 1980s when Chrysler's Management Team identified that most styling/design trends originated in California and then spread through the rest of the country.

When I first read about the closing of the Pacifica Design Center I was saddened and thought that it was something that would be completed later the year. Well, I was half right.

It's still sad that it Pacifica's closing, but it won't happen later this year, it's already done. The building has been vacated and will be cleared out this weekend. :(
