I have been following the different discussions regarding the special tool audit. I have also seen 2 different lists one is a very short list of tools Chrysler is looking for and the other list which I received from our Chrysler service rep is very lengthy. I was curious to see if anyone has actually gone through the audit and which list is the correct one? I was told directly from our rep that when Chrysler comes out they will do there initial inspection then tell us what we need and give us an opportunity to find the tools and correct the list then come re inspect them. Has anyone been through this yet? If so what was your experience? I can also post the list I received from our rep if it helps anyone. thanks a lot

A dealer friend in Minnesota told me the guy that did his inspection said they knew dealers were borrowing tools to each other and they were going to come unannounced some day and re do the audit! Don't these people have better things to do?

They just want to hit a Dealer, at any cost.

we had ours two weeks ago. ample warning. did an in house inventory, organized all cases in a clean , well lit area. auditor was a good guy, thanked us for the organization , found under a $1000 not here. let us substitute any other tools that would work, told us some requirements were going to be overlooked by him. related that poor treatment by other dealerships did cost them big bucks. common sense prevailed.

Great post - thanks for sharing. :)
I like it when common sense prevails and while I get frustrated with Auburn Hills on occasion I think it's just common courtesy to treat their representative respectfully.
