In an effort repair damaged Factory/Dealer relations, Chrysler LLC announced that it will resume its policy of reimbursing dealerships to fill a new car customer's vehicle with fuel at the time of delivery.

Chrysler suspended the fuel fill reimbursement plan several years ago during a wave of cost-cutting efforts. Many dealers had complained that this was just another example of Chrysler's "cost-shifting" to the dealers.

The policy change is scheduled to take place on March 1, 2008.

It's about time. Your date is wrong, March 1st, 2008. It's the little things that really get under a dealer's skin, and this is one of them. Glad it is back.

I remember when they took this program away - dealers were hot about the amount of "cost-shifting" that Chrysler was doing in an effort to cut their losses and generate profits.

Thanks for correcting the date - I don't know what I was thinking when I typed 2009?
