A few notable media quotes:
"There were more car advertisers than usual in this year's game, but only a couple of spots were memorable. Along with Audi, there was Kia's 'Joy Ride' from Los Angeles agency David & Goliath, following a cast of toy characters, including a life-sized sock monkey and a robot, as they take the Kia Sorento out for a spin. American Honda and Hyundai, which scored big last year with its "Assurance" campaign, ran ads during this year's game but didn't rate mentions by our judges." – Forbes.com
“Joyride Dream” for Kia: Close to wonderful. A bunch of human-sized toys live out their wildest dreams of adventure in a Kia Sorento as they head for Vegas. A sock monkey makes snow angels, jet-skis, rides an electric bronco and gets a tattoo stitched into his arm. Great song choice backing the ad: The Heavy's “How You Like Me Now.” – People Magazine, Critic Picks
“The little Kia that could: Amid all the Hyundai commercials, the best car spot was the only one from Kia. "Joyride Dream" features a gang of iconic toys. Muno from Yo Gabba Gabba , Sock Monkey and Mr. X are out on a joyride that ends in Vegas (where all joyrides end). Top-shelf funny silliness. Favorite moment: Sock Monkey getting a "Mom" tattoo stitched into his arm.” – Dallas Morning News
(Ranked # 4) Kia Sorento's Toy “Hangover”: “Yo Gabba Gabba's Muno, a Sock Monkey, and their toy buddies taking out the Sorento for a wild night on the town. I know I should've seen that “twist” ending coming, but I was so caught up in the nightclubbing, the hot-tubbing, and the funniest tattooing of all time, I didn't have time to think that they'd be returned to hand-held size and laying on the back seat in the a.m. Genius!” – Entertainment Weekly
