News reports indicate that Ralph Schomp Automotive has agreed to pay $1.5 Million to settle an EEOC case filed against the dealership. Here's a link to the full news report - click here (http://denver.bizjournals.com/denver/stories/2010/01/04/daily57.html)

Ralph Schomp, based in Littleton, is one of the highest-volume BMW, Honda, and Mini dealers in Colorado.

There were two separate charges, one with five women alleging sexual harassment and another with five older employee alleging age discrimination. A statement from the dealership maintained their innocence and indicated the settlement was made to allow them to go forward without the disruption and cost of litigation.

For as many conversations as we've had on this forum about the Red Flag Rule, I think this topic merits review as well.

Does your dealership have a process place to ensure your employees are not subject to sexual harassment or age discrimination?
