Bob Swift from Swift Dodge passes away

Sadly, yesterday's rumors proved to be true and the passing of Bob Swift has been confirmed.

On a personal level, this hits close to home. I knew Mr. Swift, I liked him and I respected him. This truly is a sad loss. :(

Bob Swift was a "car dealers' car dealer" and could always be counted on for a comment at a Grass Roots Meeting or Dealer Council session. He and his father represented the Dodge brand with pride in Sacramento for 42 years.

Bob Swift will be missed. R.I.P.

Sadly, Swift Dodge is in the process of closing down ending a 42 year run. :(

With the recent passing of Bob Swift the closing does not come as a surprise. At one time the dealership was a "powerhouse" in Northern California - it's sad to see it come to an end like this.
