The US dept. of labor reported on 10/2/09 that as of Sept. 2009 we still have 138.8 million people working in this country (includes 22.4 million government employees). Great news & I hope they all buy something soon (preferably a car from me). It is regretful that 15.1 million people are drawing unemployment. But the concerning part is the other 82.3 million (working age) people that do not have a job of any kind. How does 138.8 working support 97.4 not working & 22.4 governing? We have 1 governing for every 6.2 working. Do you think the answer is more governing?

Wow, those are some pretty sobering numbers.

The number of government workers as a percentage of the private sector has always bothered me, but I was surprised at the number of working age adults who are not work or collecting unemployment.

Concerning that last group, I wonder if they are mostly wealthy people who don't have to work, or people who live outside the law and don't pay taxes? (Drug dealers, prostitutes, criminals, etc.)

Crowe, you have got to get some traffic in your store, you have way too much time on your hands to filter through all of that. lol

Agreed. I’m thinking about leaving the car biz for politics or maybe community organizing there seems be a lot of money in both. Plus you never have to worry about inventory because there is always an abundance of BS.

Yeah, I wish I would have known more about the career possibilities associated with community organizing when I was starting out - who knew? :)

On a serious note, if the guy with the KIA store is quiet, it must be slow for everyone. :(
