My local competitor just won his fight against GM. Seems ludicrous that he had to take it so far in the court system to add a franchise to a dying franchise. GM should almost be responsible for all his legal fees since they're the ones trying to dump Saturn. How the court system first ruled in favor of GM,considering what is going on, is beyond comprehension. This guy is one of the nicest guy's you'll ever meet and I'm glad he was able to win this battle.http://www.dailyrecord.com/article/20090529/UPDATES01/90529032/Denville+dealership+wins+suit+against+Saturn
Sorry for the delay - I'm just getting caught-up reading the forum.
Thanks for the thread - that was an interesting article. :)
While it's great the dealer was able to get a favorable judgment, I read the comment from the judge indicating that the ruling wouldn't be valid if GM sold Saturn to a new company. It will be interesting to see what happens with Saturn - maybe Penske will find a way to make it work?
Concerning Kia, I like their style. It seems like they're Hell-bent to sell cars and increase their market share. Kia doesn't care about duals, they'll worry about that 5 - 10 years from now when their franchise commands a premium.
