View Full Version : Grand Opening set for 01-01-08
After more than a year in the testing and development phase, the Grand Opening of DealershipForum.com is set for January 1, 2008.
DealershipForum.com is dedicated to the men and women that work in the Automotive Retail field. Regardless of whether you're the Dealer Principal, the Sales Manager, a Technician or a Lot Attendant, DealershipForum.com welcomes your participation.
For the next week and a half I will be adding content and features to the site in preparation for the Grand Opening.
Please visit us again and watch our progress.
As we count down the days to the Grand Opening of the DealershipForum.com website, we've made a few enhancements to improve the site:
Changed the Font Style
Increased the size of the Font
Added a Home Page for Monthly Polls
Added new options to the Menu Bar
There are several other changes that are still in process and the site will continue to evolve as we get closer to the Grand Opening date.
Please check back and review our progress.
If the site looks like a cluttered mess that's been hacked by some kid that works at McDonalds, don't worry, it's all part of our plan.......
On a serious note, with the exception of this thread all posts on this forum dated prior to 01-01-08 are for testing purposes only. They will all be deleted before the site's Grand Opening.
The purpose of the posts from the "McDonalds Kid" is to test the Infraction Points System and the Automatic Banning Tool that this site uses. Once launched, we'll be using this tool to remove accounts that do not belong in this community.
Please check back in again - there are still several more modifications that will be made to the site before the Grand Opening. :)
As we get closer to the Grand Opening of the website, many of the changes that we're making to the site are hidden from public view.
Our primary goal is to establish DealershipForum.com as a site that is reserved for Dealership Owners and Employees. We're revising our rules and registration agreement to ensure that our members can take part in this community and not be subject to SPAM or solicitation. Unapproved Vendors and trolls will be eliminated as soon as they are detected.
The site will continue to evolve even after the Grand Opening. We'll be looking for member input before we make some of our future enhancements.
Thanks for tracking our progress and please check back in for an update as we get closer to the launch date. :)
For those that have tracked our progress you'll probably agree we've made a number of improvements to the DealershipForum.com website over the past month.
The Grand Opening date has finally arrived and I'm pleased to announce that at 12:57 a.m the DealershipForum.com website is officially open for business! :)
Thanks for following our progress. If you're eligible to become a member, we hope that you'll take a minute or two of your time and join our community.
As the clock nears midnight I realize that AutomotiveForum.com is almost one week old.
The good news is that the site is fully operational, it's getting some traffic and we have members that are signing up. :)
The bad news is that there are very few posts. :( (That's common for Internet Forums that first start up - it's an awkward phase.) I will continue to add content to the site so there's always something fresh to read, but the real value to a Forum is found in its membership - the conversations that help increase sales and profitability.
So, if you're reading this and you're a member, please post a comment or two to one of the treads that interests you. It's real easy, just look for the "Post Reply" buttom on the below the left corner of the last post, type your comment and hit submit.
Also, please take a minute and spread the word. The more people that use this site the better it will be. Thanks in advance and I'll be looking forward to your post.
